Just things

Well I joined that Hi5 network thing that I have been getting so many emails about. I have a bunch of pictures on there, some of which are pretty great. Me at halloween and on my birthday and stuff like that.

School is going really well, except my one Philosoply of math class... yea..oh well.

So I will not be comming home for Christmas this year, Instead, mom is comming out here on the 20th and we are spending it in ol, Edmonton. It should be really great actually. I can t wait for the semester to be over and to see mom. Gives me an excuse to buy Christmas decorations..Mike and I are deciding whether or not to buy a fake tree or just keep getting real ones. Im partial to real ones, although fake ones are nice too...but only if they loook real. Plus, we have no place to put it in our storage room... something to think about anyhow

Ok, ill talk to you later

I will tag Myself with the 5 thing Curse

10 years ago I was umm...just about to turn 11. I was living in Liberty street with my cat Michael and Irish Dancing...I was also chubby, which I didnt realize until I was 13, when I was told I was thin again. Nice! haha

5 Years ago, I was just about to turning 16 and super pumped. I was in Drum Corps still and been to Ireland that August. I though of myself as a was a wise and learned world traveller...and I think I kissed a boy for the first time too. Oh..and I got boobs.

Yesterday I went to class and handed in my dumb ass philosophy assignment, butwas put in good spirits again my my Art History class. We were learning about advertising in the 1920's and thefear tactics they used to use to sell face soap. There was this add that featured a yound girl in the background sitting alone and downtrodden. However, the girl in the foreground was smiling and being courted by two males...the caption read "The girl with the clear skin wins!"
What I though odd..was that the two young chaps were drawn looking at her bosom rather than her beautiful skin. The class had a good laugh when I pointed this out to the prof.

5 snacks I enjoy are chips and salsa, dill pickle anyhting, hummus, nuts and beer....

5 Songs I know the words to...I know alot too...the score of Oliver and the little mermaid, Sweet Home Alabama, Wish you were here, Zombie, Hey Jude...and the song I pretend to know all the words to is American Pie

5 things I would do with a million dollars. Pay student loans off, Buy a house for my mom wherever she wants with a huge garden, buy some property, invest half, go shopping and travel

5 places I would run away to: Ireland, Vancouver, the Ocecan(on a boat), a good book, my bed.

5 htings I would never wear: jeans with little bum pockets, cowboy ankle boots, gold anything, shoulder pads.....a nightie to bed (AHHhhh the tangles!)

5 shows I love:....well..umm..how bout two becuase I dont have TV...Dr Phil and The National with Petie Mans

5 bad habbits: picking at the skin on my finders (I know its groose), Farting and Burping loudly in public....is this supposed to be a candid 5 things? hahaha...not washing the dish as soon as I use it, leaving rotten food in the fridge as long as it dosent smell....hahaha

5 biggest joys: Michael, a good cup-a-tea, wine and shrimp night with my mom, hugging my cat Tony, Seeingmy classmates nod at an interesting comment made in class, a cold pint after a long day, Michael, the feeling you get once you have conquered something, a good conversation, Michael.

5 Toys: COmputer, cell phone....umm...yea im technologically retarded.

I think thats all

Fish are Silly...

It is the most beautiful day. There are fluffy little clouds in the sky and the sun is bright and warm. People outside are happy, although maybe too happy, beucase they are wearing T-shirts, and it is DeFInatley too cold for T-shirts. They are crazy, but good for them. My fish are happy too. They swim around the tank with their little fins and sily bulging eyes. The two little orange ones like to play tricks on me though. They rest at the bottom of the tank, fat little bellies on the purple gravel, and they sit there. Now, it is ritual, that whenever I come home for class, I check the tank to see if any fish have eaten eachother or are sick, or demonstrate an air of general depression. And evey time (EVEry TImE!) I freak out because those two orange bastards sit there playing dead, until I have to physically crouch down and yell at them to make sure they are still alive. Its a sick little game that I am doomed to play allong with, because of my overwhelming compassion for beings smaller than myself. I think thats why I liberated Stew, ( my little Norwegian Dwarf Devil rabbit) from the pet store at a rediclious price.

My giant yellow snail keeps having little babies.

well, thats all for now; I Miss everyone back home

Its almost SEPTEMBER!!

So school begins next week, and I am almost done my contract with the military! Thank goodness I am out of that office though ...really. Im moving on and upward. "Unit Historian and Librarian!" I mean how cool is that!? Well, maybe some people do not think that this job would be tons of fun...but I definatley do! so Wohoooo for me.

So I hear that the Sloans are having a big Sloan bash without me eh!! Suprise Suprise... I reallly have to convince Mike to move back east...I mean, the mountains and whole water rafting thing (which I did last weekand in Jasper) is great, but it is the fam I miss man.

Mom should be comming out in October, so that should be a great time. Show her the town and relax in my tiny little apartment. Oh, Mike and I have decided to stay in the one bedroom basement becuase it is so cheap. Which is necessary because Mike has bills and we are pplanning on buying a condo next September! WOHOO! I get to decorate...meanwhile, Michael is cringing because he hates that I like colour. If it were up to him, everything would be wither white or beige...seriously...who can live with beige???

Oh and to let you all know..I am now an expert floor hockey player! I hace played at my Naval unit all summer.. (about three games a week) and average about one goal a game...its funny really, because I take a million shots during games, but onlyone ever goes in...its a curse I tell you, a CURSE!
Ohh and I joined a volleyball league too! It begins September 27th...hte Sunday I get back from sailing with the Navy in Victoria for 4 days! WOhoo!! I think I leave on the 22nd, and rtn on like...the 26th or so. So my first time sailing! I will leginimatley be a sailor now, not just a cute chick that wears the nicest uniform in the forces!! Wo Woo! (the shade of blue maches my eye colour..im not shallow!!)
Umm...what else...oh I saw the new Bill Murrary movie. "Broken flowers." I really liked it but thought the ending sucked. After I thought about it today, I realized that I like it now. Yes I do. It was not as good as "Lost in Translation"...but that was a realllllllly good film

talk to you soon

HELLO THERE!!

Wow, sorry folks-I have'nt blogged in a while.
I have been keeping myself busy reading Amys great blogs! wait ago Aim!

So what has been going on lately. Well if you did not know, I scored myself a job with the Navy here in Edmonton until the beginning of September! So righ ton. I already have tuition saved for next year! And so am giving myself a little extra money and a little extra time-for example I got my hair cut and might do it again in 6 weeks..you know..when your supposed to! Hahaha Im so bad for this. I usually get it cut about twice a year. So yay me.

Umm..im picking classes for next year. Have only looked at what is available(and it aint much)for history and Art History but I have a little time. University of Alberta is infamous for late admission...so I have not recieved mine yet...but I will for sure. NO WorriES!

It is very very boring in Edmonton when Mike is not home. I have very few friends here (theyare all in Cold Lake or Calgary) and it kinda sucks. Once school startes up again I will be fine though. Busy Busy and all that jazz. Im kinda excited to start again.

So Mike and I should be going to Jasper on the July long weekand..very exciting...not only becuase Mike got a new car (very nice) but I think we may go horseback riding in the mountains! How cool will that be..They are trail horses, but I am pumped. We are going to concur that mountain this year though! The geraldine Lakes two day trail that mike and I oculdnt finish becuase our backpacks were too big! Can you believe it. So we are oging to get propper gear and go this time.

Ok talkto you soon

Why is Science eating away at my soul?

Thre are certain reasons why I really really dont like science.
Reason #1: After each scentance I read in my textbook, I find myself rereading it, only this time, I start it off with .."Did you know...." In the hopes of making it more interesting. Yes, I still revert to kindergarden like gimmics to help me study.

Before: " Extensive areas on all Northern Hemisphere (I use NH) continents, as well as more limited tracts in the Southern Hemisphere, were originally covered in a forest of largely broadleafed decidious trees."

After: Did you know?... That extensive areas on all Northern Hemisphere continents, as well as more limited tracts in the Southern Hemisphere, were originally cvered in a forest of largley broadleafed decidious trees?! Isnt that amazing!

Much better eh! Thats how I think all text boks should be written. Then I wouldnt resort to making bread (well...letting my bread maker make bread) instead of studying.
Or maybe if they gave us some really grosse examples of flora and fauna...and fun stuff htat happens in the........Midlatituude Decidious Forest. YA!!! the Midlatitude Freekin Decidious Forest MAn!!!! Thats what I'm talkin about! Yea.

Oh god. Its only Monday and I cant wait for my Art History lecture on Friday at 1300.......

Help.
